Bengal Law College is located in Sriniketan, West Bengal. It was commenced in 2007 with a motive of imparting quality legal education to create competent and talented law professionals in India. University of Burdwan has granted affiliation to Bengal Law College and it is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), Government of India, New Delhi. Under the approval of the Council, the college of law offers an undergraduate course in the field of law - Bachelor of Laws (LLB). The academic program is a three-year law program.
Founded in 2006, Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies is in the process of establishing itself as a pivotal institution of excellence, scholarship and rigor among the law institutions of the third generation. We are committed to teaching the techniques of lawyering at the highest level as well as entering into a dialogue with our students about values and justice. Our central focus is to treat law as an instrument of social change and law as a tool to face the challenges of emerging complexities of industrializing societies.
The Foundation has progressively, in the last five years, setup higher educational institutions in an integrated and modern campus at Durgapur. The essence of the academic environment is its dedicated faculty, high quality educational infrastructure and student fraternity, chosen on the basis of academic merit alone.
The National Law School of India University at Bangalore was established under the National Law School of India University act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986). The Act was notified in the official Gazette August 29, 1987.
