1Mby1M is a great initiative for entrepreneurs started by Sramana Mitra.
Sramana is an entrepreneur, strategy consultant and a Forbes columnist.
She has written extensively on early entrepreneur mortality and how startups can be helped to prevent that in her "Entreprenuer Journey" (EJ) books. She blogs on http://www.sramanamitra.com.
She started the 1M/1M initiative to help 1 million entrepreneurs reach 1 million in revenue. Sramana does this by arranging free online roundtables every Thursday, where anyone can register to pitch. The first 5 entrepreneurs to signup can pitch their venture's and ask her any questions they have that would help them further their venture. She advises them based on her EJ methodology. Briefly the EJ Methodology is; Start-up Demystification> Idea
Validation> Bootstraping> Positioning> Go To Market> Financing>Exit Strategy.
The round-table sessions are very informative because there are entrepreneurs from around the world discussing their products. It gives good insight into whats happening elsewhere and how entrepreneurs are tackling various problems and stages of their startup. Sramana has a global vision which reflects in her candid feedback to the startups. Its free strategy consulting and methodology guidance. I would highly recommend entrepreneurs to attend the roundtable sessions. It's a great opportunity to connect with people globally and also learn from other's experience.
Most importantly, any one who is interested in talking to Sramana about their venture can register to pitch in the roundtable. The first 5 signups for any roundtable are allowed to pitch for each roundtable.
You can register to pitch or to attend the roundtables at http://www.sramanamitra.com/entrepreneurship-strategy-roundtables/ These roundtables are held every Thursday.
Is expensive office space a major constraint for bootstrapping startups?
Posted by Nitesh Chandra 2 years 19 weeks
Let's face it, office space doesn't come cheap and there is only so much we can do from home. To build a team, to have the interest of potential recruits/customers, a decent office is essential. It also adds greatly to one's productivity for sure.
So, how are the startups meeting this challenge? Any innovative ideas/offers?
One offer that I know of and am currently availing is the 3-month complimentary Regus Businessworld Gold Membership by EFactor. http://www.efactor.com/toolbox/regus
