LIBA E Cell aims to promote and encourage entrepreneurship as a career option. It acts as a catalyst that allows potential ideas to be converted into practical business solutions. With around 100 active members, the cell helps students understand the market environments of various industries through pilot projects, mentorships, seminars, workshops, B-Plan events, etc. The E-Cell has partnered TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) and NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network) for various entrepreneurial activities. Continuous research and networking are encouraged amongst the members. Starting a campus business is the latest buzz in LIBA E-Cell. The Pan India Business Plan Competition and NEN Entrepreneurship Week participation have been the biggest events organized by the E-Cell.
Major event: About Pan India Business Plan Competition 2009
The second version of LIBA TiE Chennai Pan India Business Plan Competition was conducted on November 27, 2009 along with TiECON 2009, TiE Chennai’s Annual Flagship Conference. The objective of the contest was to foster entrepreneurship by identifying and recognizing ideas and talent that can create tomorrow’s business. The contesting teams included both students and experienced professionals. The entries were evaluated by a team of jurors that included successful Entrepreneurs VCs, industry captains and academicians. The winning teams received a total prize amount worth around Rs. 8 lakh along with an associate membership of TiE.
Let's face it, office space doesn't come cheap and there is only so much we can do from home. To build a team, to have the interest of potential recruits/customers, a decent office is essential. It also adds greatly to one's productivity for sure.
