Teresian Women's College
Teresian college, Mysore was established by Carmelite Sisters of St.Teresa (CSST) in 1963 with the purpose of promoting women’s education and their empowerment. Located in the outskirts of Mysore, the college, with its well-designed buildings, gardens, laboratories, playgrounds and hostel facilities, has become a destination for students from all over India and abroad.
The college offers undergraduate programmes leading to BA, B.Sc, B.Com and B.B.M degrees, affiliated to the University of Mysore. Undergraduate programmes are open only to girl students, while post-graduate courses are open to both boys and girls. Professional courses like MBA and MCA are available under twinning programme in distance education. The college has been granted UGC recognition, and it has been conferred an ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
The mission of the college is ‘to promote a value based education, contribute to the transformation of society through being socially conscious and responsible, synergise women and the less privileged regarding their basic human rights, promote inter cultural and inter religious harmony and concern for the human family and provide quality, integral, vocational and career oriented education and create climate for human and educational excellence.
