College of Engineering-Pune, Empresario

The Entrepreneur Cell of CoEP – named Empressario – is an organization with a dream. Our aim is to manifest the entrepreneurial spirit in young budding students. With the support of a recently founded institute by CoEP, named BIEL (Bhau Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship), Empressario firmly believes in promoting innovative ideas and intends to help commercialize them. Despite being only a year old, Empressario has already conducted two national and some local events and has set up its first campus company. The NEN monthly newsletter of November 2009 has mentioned Empressario being the "youngest" E-cell in India, with core members being only first and second year students.
