Velammal Engineering College, NEN E Cell
The ‘Dream Chaserzz Lounge’ was set up by few passionate students to nurture the spirit of entrepreneurship and to implement business ideas inside the campus. It was reinstated in the year 2009 as ‘Lemon Inc’ by our former Chairman Divya Sornaraja.
Our E Cell, ‘Lemon Inc’, mainly aims at converting thoughts into result-oriented actions. ‘Lemon Inc’ is unique mainly because of its organizational structure which is similar to that of a corporate office. We have separate departments to take care of administration, documentation, financial and technical affairs. ‘Lemon Inc’aims at making its members aware of start-up terminologies and also to give them the confidence to start their own business ventures with the available resources.
‘Lemon Inc’ has shown tremendous growth for the past two years with two E Week honor roll awards to its credit. We also have on-campus business plan ‘Ad roll’- a college powered advertising board, which involves an LED screen to display the various college events and also other advertisements which are paid for by advertisers.
With the same kind of spark, zeal and out-of-the box thinking from our members we are sure to go a long way in spreading the spirit of entrepreneurship.
Is expensive office space a major constraint for bootstrapping startups?
Posted by Nitesh Chandra 2 years 19 weeks
Let's face it, office space doesn't come cheap and there is only so much we can do from home. To build a team, to have the interest of potential recruits/customers, a decent office is essential. It also adds greatly to one's productivity for sure.
So, how are the startups meeting this challenge? Any innovative ideas/offers?
One offer that I know of and am currently availing is the 3-month complimentary Regus Businessworld Gold Membership by EFactor. http://www.efactor.com/toolbox/regus
