Alpha College of Engineering
Alpha College of Engineering, part of Alpha Group of Institutions, is located at Chennai. The institute offers BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bio Medical Engineering, B.Tech (Information Technology) and MBA degree programmes.
Alpha College of Engineering is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The College commenced operations in the year 2006, with four branches and an intake of 240 students. Since then, the intake has gone up to 360 with an additional course. Within a short span of time the college has created a renowned name for itself amongst the student community.
The institute aims to focus its educational ventures upon the development of professionals who value tradition and concurrently subscribe to a progressive spirit. It works with the industry to impart suitable additional skills, development through enquiry, critical reflective, creative and imaginative thinking and ethical decision making.
Alpha’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) is an international platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their projects. The Alpha SIFE bagged three World Cup victories at Paris, Singapore and second place at Berlin, Germany in October 2009 for its projects: Tomato Pulping, Sea-weed Cultivation and Environmental Sustainability.
