SNDT - Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies

The SNDT Women’s University, a pioneering initiative by the intrepid social reformer Maharshi Karve took shape in the form of the first Women’s University in India, was established in the year 1916 with four students. This initiative was ably supported by the generosity and commitment of Sir Vithaldas Thackersey, an eminent industrialist and philanthropist. Over a span of over 85 years, the University has grown to its present enrolment of more than 50,000 students.

 

Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JDBIMS) is the Centre of Management Studies and the post Graduate Department of Management Education of this University. JDBIMS was established on August 17, 1997.

 

Jankidevi Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JDBIMS) is the Centre of Management Studies and the post Graduate Department of Management Education of SNDT Women’s University. The Centre tries to blend traditional Indian culture and value systems with modern management theories and practices to prepare global managers for the future. JDBIMS seeks to provide much needed training to a growing number of women managers who are increasingly coming to the forefront of global business.
