‘Zenith’, our E Cell, is an association managed and driven by students in collaboration with the Centre of Entrepreneurial Excellence. The era of globalization today has witnessed the emergence of a new breed of people ready to start their own enterprise. To nurture these entrepreneurs of tomorrow, the Entrepreneurship Cell at St. Philomena's college started out in 2009 with this mission in mind:
· To encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among students
· To disseminate knowledge about entrepreneurship
· To organize a variety of activities centered on entrepreneurship – gues lectures, workshops, case studies, B plan competitions and interactions with successful entrepreneurs.
At ‘Zenith’, we believe that an entrepreneur not only builds a strong business model but also tweaks it, reading the markets constantly.
We would also like to thank NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network), for supporting E Cell. NEN E Cell, ‘Zenith’ dared to go beyond and reach across the city by organizing the event, ‘Entrepreneurship Day’ and a Business plan workshop in our college. Our E Cell, with the help of NEN, also opened a stationary shop in our college.
